This weekend we'll see activists, protesters and all manner of assorted hobo take to the streets in order to pester the electorate into participating in a low turnout & low interest election. 

Better than real life . . . 

The top journalists in the Kansas City metro gather to share highlights, hint at predictions and break down some of the August primaries. 

Rather than our usual snark, let's share some highlights from a critical conversation expertly moderated by KC PBS host Nick Haines . . . 

- Eric Wesson offers the most insightful commentary on the quick reign of outgoing KCPD Chief Stacey Graves.  

- Kyle Palmer is 100% correct of his assessment of how property tax increasingly impacts Kansas voters.  

- Dave Helling deserves credit for drilling down into neighborhood issues and how Overland Park neighborhood pool issues might sink the Kansas Guv candidacy of Curt Skoog. 

- And the highlight of the show might be Kris Ketz bringing institutional knowledge of KCPD history and the hope for an outside candidate as the next Kansas City Police Chief.
