Kansas City Losing Fight Against Reckless Downtown Drivers

Despite streetscaping efforts, stepped up patrols and law enforcement threats . . . There hasn't been much progress in protecting downtown residents from sideshows, ATVs and reckless drivers in and around the loop.

There is legit debate on both sides of this crisis but locals can merely use their ears every weekend and understand that we're a long way from a solution.

He lives and works downtown and told KCTV5 he thinks it’s gotten worse in the last month, saying it’s getting louder and happening earlier.

“It’s really tough for the residents,” he said. “Just revving their engines and going extremely fast and going up and down the street.”
