Our ancestors of every race & creed were wise enough to say NO to throwing good money after bad.
And now . . . We stand at a crossroads.
The only thing we know for sure . . .
IF KANSAS CITY GIVES NEARLY HALF A BILLION BUCKS TO DYSFUNCTIONAL PUBLIC SCHOOLS . . . THIS COWTOWN IS KAPUT!!!
There are more than a few reasons to say NO but these stand out . . .
- The administration is top heavy and they don't need anymore cash.
- The district has bigger problems than buildings.
- This money will be WASTED on sketchy, corrupt deals and NOT STUDENTS.
Nevertheless . . .
We just don't know if a low voter turnout decision will trick KCMO into a historic mistake with little, if any organized opposition.
Here's a more mainstream take . . .
"In April 2025, Kansas City voters will weigh in on a proposed $474 million bond issue to improve local schools. Kansas City Public Schools hasn't passed a bond in nearly 60 years. How does the district plan to "level the playing field" for its students?"
