The only thing that really newsworthy about this interview is that there's a grown man so eager for "access" that he's forced to endure an endless stream of propaganda & hype whilst smiling and working at the behest of a small cadre of mega-rich developers.
Also, it's worth pointing out that this KCMO power player honcho has been called out IN PUBLIC for his Pinocchio style of management that has ALLEGEDLY poked many city hall staffers the wrong way.
Here's the money line from an endless stream of promises that only a naive political flak in her 20s would dare believe . . .

(For the streetcar) "We’re looking at east-west and also north to the airport and thinking about alternative funding sources. Federal funding opportunities have come up recently that might make these things make more financial sense.
When you think about an airport connection, there’s going to be a rider cost, but a minimal cost, $5- $10 to go from airport to downtown. Once you start charging for it and layering in federal grants and funding opportunities it becomes a different game and vision for it."
Taxpayer cash pays for more transit experimentation without many questions from the low turnout electorate . . .
