Bike/Walk KC Activists Decry 'Threats & Harassment' After Public Meeting

Interesting . . .

A group of activists threatens the revenue and jobs of local small biz and then seems surprised when they encounter spirited resistance.

Moreover . . .

As far as we know . . . There haven't been any allegations of threats or harassment filed with police.

Respectfully, we submit  . . .

DISAGREEMENT AND DEBATE AT A PUBLIC MEETING IS NOT A THREAT!!!

Nobody got punched. The reactions were tame and news cameras were rolling the entire time.

This tactic is disappointing from Bike/Walk activists given that they don't debate online or in any other forum but the second they meeting with disagreement . . . They claim they're being threatened.

To be fair, here is their side of the story . . .

"Many of the business owners complained that they were not informed about the project, that there was little to no community engagement, and that their voices were not being heard. Instead of debate and discussion, the tone of the meeting devolved into name calling, verbal threats, and harassment directed at supporters of the protected bike lanes, BikeWalkKC representatives, and city staff.
