UPDATED -- Kansas City Police Investigate Deadly Cutting Report: 2022 Homicide #134

Earlier this evening the Jackson County Sheriff sent out word of a fatal cutting.

Here's the first report from police . . .

Suspicious Death 6200 block of Tracy

This evening about 5pm officers were called to a residence in the 6200 block of Tracy on a medical call with EMS involving an unresponsive adult male.  Officers and EMS arrived and EMS began treatment of the male. EMS declared the male deceased at the scene.

Officers notified detectives and they responded to the scene along with crime scene investigators for their processing and investigation.  Some of the circumstances of the scene were suspicious to the investigators so they have called in the Homicide detectives for a suspicious death investigation.

Homicide detectives will be working with the crime scene investigators as well as the medical examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.  They are also talking to individuals that were at the scene when officers arrived.

Kansas City police investigating suspicious death in 6200 block of Tracy Avenue

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating the death of a man Thursday night on the city's east side. According to a tweet from Jackson County Sheriff Darryl Forte', the cutting happened in the 6200 block of Tracy Avenue. Forte' said detectives are investigating the death as "suspicious."

Suspicious death Thursday in 6200 block of Tracy Avenue ruled homicide

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A suspicious death in the 6200 block of Tracy Avenue Thursday night is now being investigated as a homicide, according to Kansas City, Missouri, police. Authorities identified the victim as Karl Winn, 36. Winn was found unresponsive by police around 5 p.m. on Oct. 13.
