Kansas City Election Hype Week In Review

Overall this has been a sh*tty week in Kansas City.

Sure, the Chiefs winning has cured a bit of quiet desperation but overall this town has suffered a great deal of misery along with worsening crime.

THANKFULLY . . . Rather than talk about the real world on local streets . . . Our progressive public broadcasting friends would rather discuss political parlor games betwixt candidates who are nearly identical and all part of the same hypocrisy.

So be it . . .

We merely blog the news and snark it when we can . . . Saving Democracy is for tech pyramid schemes and wealthy white women.

Accordingly, this morning we're going to let our PBS pals entertain us with their approximation of this week in local history . . . Check the description . . .

"Nick Haines, Platte County Prosecutor Eric Zahnd, Missouri Representative Ashley Bland Manlove (D), Legal Missouri's John Payne and Free Green owner Bianca Sullivan debate Missouri’s new marijuana amendment. Plus, we size up how legalizing pot in Missouri will impact Kansas with Johnson County D.A. Steve Howe and Wyandotte County D.A. Mark Dupree."
