In the Kansas suburbs, middle-class housewives rule the politics of neighborhoods and tonight they endorse COVID restrictions and dress codes for their neighbors in order to curb the spread of the pandemic.

On Monday night, Roeland Park City Council members voted 6-0 to extend a mask mandate that was implemented on Jan. 18.

Less than an hour later, Prairie Village council members also voted 12-0 to extend a mandate into March.
