Former Olathe teacher James Loganbill, convicted of stalking student, denied bond

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A former Olathe teacher who was recently sentenced to one year in prison for stalking a student was denied bond in a Johnson County court on Tuesday. James Loganbill was of stalking a 10-year-old student in September. He was first charged with one count of stalking last June.


KCK sex offender sentenced for traveling to Missouri to meet with 14-year-old girl

Cameron Lamb's roommate testifies in KC detective's trial

Testimony continued Tuesday in the trial of Kansas City police Det. Eric DeValkenaere, who is accused of fatally shooting Cameron Lamb in 2019.Prosecutors allege the gun that Lamb is accused of pointing at an officer was not there at the time of the shooting.

The Overland Park Police Department is beefing up its recruiting efforts as it looks to fill more than 30 positions by early next year.Like so many police departments, Overland Park is looking to hire. It's down nine officers now and it's in the budget to get 22 more at the first of the year.


Kansas City, Kansas church looks to rebuild after fire

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) - The Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department responded to a fire late Sunday night at New City Church off Shawnee Road. The fire involved a portable toilet located outside the church. KCKFD reports no injuries. New City Church was having some plumbing issues last week.
