Kansas City 2021 Homicide #103: Latest Shooting Turns Deadly

A quick journey out into local streets tonight reveals that it's going to be a busy night for law enforcement and first responders.

Accordingly, TKC shares the first report on gunfire this evening . . .

"Just after 7:15pm, officers were called to the area of 33rd and Wabash on a report of sounds of gunshots.  Officers began to canvass the area when a secondary call, a report of a shooting, was received in the area of 31st Street and Olive Ave.  Officers located the victim, an adult male, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in front of a residence in the 3000 block of Olive Street.  Officers immediately began performing life saving measures on the victim.  EMS responded and transported the victim to the hospital.  

UPDATE: During the overnight hours, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

"Our homicide detectives have responded to the scene.  Crime Scene Personnel have also responded to the scene.  They will be canvassing the area for witnesses and collecting evidence at the scene.
