In order to assuage the delicate sensibilities of local university denizens frustrated by life at their 3rd choice school and desperate to make the world pay for their angst . . . Suburban sludge will be renamed.
To be fair, it's somewhat poetic that a mild to severely polluted creek that's devoid of life and lays mostly unnoticed will now serve as a beacon of hope.
Here's the good news . . .

JOHNSON COUNTY, KS (KCTV) --- A creek in Johnson County with an offensive name could get a new one. Historians from UMKC recommended a name change for Negro Creek. The County continues to engage the public, asking for opinions and name suggestions. Historians have suggested "Freedom Creek" after finding links to racial violence along the trail.
