KANSAS CITY METRO (KCTV) -- Police are warning people again---even on the chilliest of mornings---not to leave their cars unlocked and running to warm it up. But why does it keep happening? Prairie Village is a car thief's heaven. Great choices of models, all upper end cars and the soccer moms hate a cold car so they leave them running everywhere all the time unattended. 2-4 minutes later thief is on the Missouri side where they could care less if some snob in Prairie Village had their car stolen.

People shouldn't have to drive cold and your madman mayor isn't going to do a thing abut it. Things are going to blow up soon. People aren't going to take this praising thieves and killers much longer.

Why is the lady taking her jeans off in the KCTV 5 picture.

Maybe if she kept her britches on she would stay warmer.

I warm min up with a 9mm trained on the driver's door until I go back out to leave. Sure it's baiting the wildlife but I'll get one very soon!

Baiting is fine, bag limit of 2 per day.

I don't risk theft or fine because I have remote start with alarm and special ignition disable and fuel cut off. Nice and toasty every morning.

^^Oh Boy!!! Good for you Maude! Too bad nobody wants to steal your 73 Pacer.

It's stupid. We're not living in Alaska. Your car will warm up after 10 minutes of driving. No need to risk theft by having it running in your driveway.

As a mechanic, I love people who start and drive their vehicles cold. They are call doing that a hard start. It is much harder on the engine and transmission and causes them to wear quicker. I love it when people don't take care of their vehicles!
