Please Don't Choke On Hype For Breakfast: Big Biscuit Booms In Kansas City

Linked only because there' a new location in Westport that will be "interesting" during the continued plague.

Otherwise, there are a few good puns and local restaurant game info served up for subscribers with the link tease providing a good enough whiff for most of us . . .

Pandemic doesn't deter The Big Biscuit's growth plans - Kansas City Business Journal

Last year, the Overland Park-based breakfast chain opened two corporate restaurants in Kansas City and Topeka and launched its first franchise location in Tulsa. The three Kansas City business partners have been hungry for growth since they bought the business in 2010.

  2. They should do well in a city that seems hell bent on getting fatter by the day.

  3. I can remember back in the olden days, when this Chain had only one location, out east on 40 Highway, and the food was fit to eat.

I guess they'vediscovered the secret to success, cheap ingredients, poorly prepared, with lousy service and high prices. Sure worked for Applebees!

  7. Some of us don't subscribe to the KBJ and can't read this article, but the Big Biscuit seems far too expensive for what you get. If I'm going to pay more for breakfast, I'd rather go to First Watch.

  8. ^^Bob Evans you mean.

  9. No, 9:32, I mean First Watch. Can you read?

  10. 9:32 has nude photos of restaurant founder Bob Evans on his bedroom wall. He seems obsessed with him.

  11. ^^When you have that guy's money, you pay people to tell you that you look good naked.

  12. Nah, @8:52 and @9:32 has a part-time gig washing dishes at the only Bob Evans still open in the Metro, and he's about to be laid off due to declining business, so he keeps mentioning the place, hoping that will get people to drive all that long way to it.

  13. Well I for one enjoy the Bob Evans references.

  14. @3:07, you are correct. We moved here two years ago from FL and are still shocked at how fat people are and how their wardrobes consist of little more than Chiefs gear. 8:52 explains a lot; “haught cuisine,” what a moron.

  15. They do a shoulder to shoulder, wait for service dine in business on the weekends in Blue Springs. I have always loved their food but because of my health, age and virus it's not prudent for me to be inside, even for pick up since they don't have curbside pick up. Would like to support the restaurant because they have some good people working there. Hope to return soon.
