A woman in her 40s was stabbed shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday night near Interstate 435 and Truman Road. The victim, who was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, died Friday morning from her injuries.
“Officers located a crime scene at that location on Truman (Road) and Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene at that time last night,” KCPD Sgt. Jake Becchina, a department spokesperson, said in an email Friday morning.
