KANSAS CITY MAYOR Q TEASES MORE COVID-19 CRACKDOWN MONDAY!!!

The mayor hinted at more Kansas City small biz suffering on the way and plans to make his big reveal at an undisclosed time tomorrow.

To wit . . .

THIS IS A HORRIBLE TIME TO OWN A BAR AS COVID-19 CRACKDOWN IS LIKELY TO BE FOCUSED ON LATE NIGHT PUBLIC GATHERINGS THAT HAVE ALREADY GARNERED REBUKE FROM CITY HALL!!!

For those with a memory, let's not forget that the 10-10-10 reopen plan was mostly an unmitigated disaster that sparked frustration with small biz owners and a massive wave of layoffs.

This time around we can only hope that Mayor Q will be a bit more restrained with his amateur social engineering.

Here's confirmation and just a bit more detail . . .

KSHB: KCMO Mayor Quinton Lucas to announce additional COVID-19 guidance on Monday

Deets . . .

"Lucas wrote the guidance would be 'informed and backed by science.'

"(He noted) his worries for the city as hospitals are full and urging people to not go home for Thanksgiving.

"Lucas did not specify an exact time of when the press conference will be held."

Whilst running city hall biz like a social media star isn't the best way to get things done or garner respect. We'll hope that the city hall honcho will bestow a bit of mercy on a public already coping with pandemic fatigue.

    2. More regulations from city hall.

Meanwhile, any business that can is moving out of city limits.

An even better Covid control plan:
Limit restaurant and bar business hours to 5 PM - 7 PM, only 3 times weekly.

Make everyone go at the same time! What could go wrong?

Or, 24 x 7 hours, so we can make our own grownup decisions, no goosestepping involved.

  3. Geez! I take a few days off to go kill Bambi to irritate the animal rights whack jobs and, meanwhile, the complete idiocy of KC continues. I hope all you people that are rooting for this stuff are willing to take in 10-20 homeless this winter, you know, just to keep your conscience clear. Well, that and you pretty much owe them that much for all of your bed wetting nonsense.

Anybody with any business sense will joint the rest of us that have already moved out of the City and outside of Jackson County. This dictatorial crap is only going to get worse folks. Taxes will climb and services (if you can call them that) will continue to tank. Save your tears and hugs for Oprah because I'm not interested in them. Suck it up buttercups. Y'all begged for this mess. Now you're going to get it.

And in a stunning reversal of my earlier opinion, I think this would be the PERFECT time to fire the Chief and defund the police. Ask Minneapolis how that's working out for them. 😏🍿

  4. It's Lucas/Archer fatigue not pandemic fatigue. The hospitals aren't full and he they need to stop the science fiction shit.

  6. Let’s not forget that we have tons of out of town guests from rural areas (were counting them as part of the 25 million annally visitors too!) with too small a hospital or no hospital at all. These dumbfucks can’t be happy that the city is doing really good and has been doing really good through this whole thing, but no, they bought into China flu joe’s “dark winter” bullshit just to keep the narrative alive. We’re dealing with some really sick mother fuckers in this town and it’s the politicians who are sick and not the citizens.

Bandit, I hope you killed and slaughtered your deer this year!

That ought to piss off the animal rights pussies! Merica bitches!

  10. Can't do that. they are all anti-vaccers now. So much for "science" huh?

  12. I'll have a freezer full of meat when KC has limits on purchases. Just havin' batting practice with KC. Can hardly wait for the announcement tomorrow. This promises to be as well thought out as anything else Q Ball the screwball has come up with thus far.

  13. I bet he doesn’t outlaw slow dancing at gay bars.

  14. Stop with the homophobic comments already. I used to like the mayor but if he shuts businesses down again there is no way I'll ever vote for him again.

  15. Here is a suggestion that would be good for KCMO. Why doesn't Q-ball make a suggestion to do exactly what Olathe did ten years ago that has had a lasting and positive impact on that city. Put together a plan between the city and the Kansas City Railway to raise the rails that go through the Northeast and inner city to eliminate dangerous and costly accidents. That would include rail crossings at Ewing, Independence Avenue, Hardesty, Truman Road and 12th Streets. I'll bet that not more than a couple of days goes by that there are not accidents that can injure or kill people, destroy cars and semi's and impact travel and safety in the city. Like I said Olathe did it ten years ago and it now does not have a problem at the rail crossing there. How about shedding some light on that?
