Sloppy legislation from 12th & Oak threatens to put more people out of work and chase desperately needed business outside of city limits.
Mayor Q recently lashed out a TKC with a bit of name calling in order to distance himself from this vote but our sources contend that it's very likely he'll end up endorsing a modified version of this despicable legislation very soon.
What's tragic is that there's an urban push to ban these products but the small biz hit will extend throughout KCMO.
A glimpse at the advocacy against this move . . .
"Passing the amendment could mean layoffs for both Diebel’s and KC Cash & Carry, whose employees range from single parents to an individual with cancer."
There's more info for subscribers at KC Biz Journal whilst local stores struggle to fight against an increasingly hostile-to-small-biz political body at 12th & Oak.

Retailers say Kansas City's flavored tobacco ordinance could force layoffs, closings - Kansas City Business Journal
Kansas City retailers are speaking out against a proposed city ordinance amendment that would ban the sale and distribution of flavored tobacco products, vapes and e-cigarettes. "You tell us to take out a whole category, and you're essentially telling us to close down the whole store," Babir Sultan, who launched his convenience store business 16 years ago, told the Kansas City Business Journal.
ReplyDeletePeople should be buying and selling outside of KC anyway. I have noticed that people are moving their residence outside of KC by the droves.

ReplyDeleteRight much better to kill the kids than fire drug pushers because
ReplyDeleteAll Lives Matter! Pro-life!
They have a better chance of ending up on the homicide count than they do getting capped by COVID dumbass.
ReplyDeleteAre you one of the 'all lives matter' geniuses who thinks cigarrets are awesome but they cause covid but covid is not real and Trump won?
DeleteIf the child killers were going to do something to stop themselves from selling poison to children, why didn't they already do it??
ReplyDeleteKinda stupid for a pusher to wait until the cops arrive at the door then whine "What about my money!!!"
Check the numbers @8:28 - higher number of KC Covid Deaths than Homicides!
ReplyDeleteOf course you who have left Christianity and joined the Church of Trump don't believe in Covid, do you?
The Trumbible tells you that all those hundreds of thousands of Americans died of something else, like "mysterious Breathing Stoppage".
And then those fake dead fuckers voted for Biden just to prove Trump wrong about covid! I have the proof right here in this bottle.
DeleteCheck the number 8:48. Compare kids to kids and get back to us. We'll wait.
ReplyDelete6:27 moving their residence outside of Kansas City in droves, hay that sounds like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI love it at my location well outside of Jackass County which will remain undisclosed. Now all the idiots there are merely entertainment.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Don't forget to pay your property taxes by December 31 to continue to fund the corruption and idiocy. ππΏπ€£
