Kansas City Latino Artist Spotlight

Forgive local news, we forgot to tell them that NOBODY uses the term Latinx. Still, the politically correct kowtowing doesn't ruin a worthwhile feature on one of this town's best artists who is mostly inspired by love for his community and sports, not politics.

Kansas City's Anthony Oropeza influences new generation of Latinx artists

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Anthony Oropeza is best known for painting superstar athletes in the Kansas City area, but much of his work is heavily influenced and inspired by his Mexican-American heritage. Inside a studio space at the InterUrban ArtHouse, Oropeza is working on a painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe for the second time in his life.
