Jackson County COVID-19 Outbreak Worsens

To be fair, this facility has more than it's share of problems beyond the pandemic but the latest virus stats aren't encouraging from a facility that has already been tagged for some very serious public health violations.

Jackson County Detention Center reports 51 COVID-19 cases

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Jackson County Detention Center has reported 51 COVID-19 cases, according to Sheriff Darryl Forte. In an update posted to Twitter Monday afternoon, Forte said there also are 300 inmates in quarantine or precautionary quarantine. The detention center reported three positive cases in April among inmates, and two months later saw five cases from "non-inmates."

    150 neighbors dying in a city of 100s of thousands is not a plague.

    Most don't even know they get it because so mild.

    If you are over 80 and in poor health then take precautions.
