The piece is a critical review of arrest footage accompanied by insights from Jackson County Jean Peter Baker. The TKC reader argues, "This is nothing but a hit piece, there's no news here . . . Theyr'e just picking apart a video. What they don't know is that this doesn't create any real change, just leaves victims more unlikely to report crimes . . . Disgusting."

Over the years, I've heard a lot from rape victims about how retraumatized they've been by the police officers who took their reports. By cops who were insulting, cops who were indifferent, cops who not only sympathized with the accused but in one case slapped handcuffs on the victim instead of the perp.
