A welcomed return to normal for this opulent temple that offers a somewhat reassuring sign that the Almighty (dollar) has blessed the righteous McMansion dwellers. To be fair and without the envy of a basement blogger . . . Check this worthwhile statement from a local minister that's actually somewhat inspiring:
After 7 months, Leawood mega church to hold in-person services this Sunday
LEAWOOD, Kan. - Its sanctuaries are home to the largest congregation in the metro. This weekend, in-person services will finally return to Church of the Resurrection in Leawood. It's a comeback after seven months of contending with the COVID-19 pandemic for the local mega church. New procedures are in place now for anyone attending in-person.
C'mon back, suckers, daddy's gotta make a boat and condo payment.
ReplyDeleteThe money be dryin' up.
ReplyDeleteIsn’t that the church that is full of homosexuals?
ReplyDeleteFinally! I am going to pray my gay away.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize COVID was gone. Good to know!
ReplyDeleteDaddy Adam was spending too much time at the lake. Got to fire things up again!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't the kansas city atheist coalition hang out there?
ReplyDeleteI doubt the homosexuals have been isolating while COR was closed. They’ve been out sucking dick and getting buttfucked.
ReplyDeleteMulti million $ windows? Mega salary for pastor??? Not my kind of place of worship.
ReplyDeleteReverend Stone here. My Church of the Backyard Rock will be open this Sunday. Please be generous as we need some seed killer to clear out around the gawd rock. Send a minimum of five dollars with your prayer wish, and I promise the answer to your prayer will be statistically the same as Joel Osteen's or this local mega church.
ReplyDeleteEscalades forever, Amen.
Weed killer. Sorry for the edit.

What would Jesus do? Lead a ministry in the wealthiest zip code in metro KCMO, while personally amassing a small fortune? I don't think so.
2 Chronicles 7:14
ReplyDeleteKing James Version
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Good for them. Late in the game as most other churches have figured out how to re-open months ago.
