Hit-and-run incident sends two people to the hospital
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two people went to the hospital after a hit-and-run incident overnight. Police responded to 85th Street and Hickman Mills on a two-car crash just before 3 a.m. on Sunday. Police say a red Chevy Tahoe had run out of gas, and the driver and passenger were outside the vehicle pushing it towards the gas station.

Despite the best efforts of Bike/Walk advocates to drum up their own consulting biz . . . Local streets remain dangerous for pedestrians. Here's one example of street life danger without the illusion that a bike lane would have improved the tragic situation:
