KANSAS CITY FLASH FOOD WARNING TONIGHT!!! USE CAUTION: SEVERAL MIDTOWN STREETS UNDERWATER!!!

Was on my way to a "corona party" tonight but the weather didn't cooperate . . . And so, TKC lives to see another day as I looked out upon a river of poop next to the beautiful County Club Plaza which serves as another reminder that KCMO long-term storm sewer infrastructure FAIL is every bit as pressing as the need for social justice.

To wit . . .

AS ALWAYS A GREAT MANY KANSAS CITY STREETS ARE FLOODED AND NEARLY IMPASSABLE AMID HEAVY RAINS!!!

Here's the official warning and a reminder that EVERY resident of this town suffers because of a legacy of infrastructure neglect at City Hall whilst politicos distract the electorate with development pipe dreams and culture war crusades.

The National Weather Service has issued a FLASH FLOOD WARNING for some cities in the Kansas City metro area until 12:15 a.m.

Anyone in those areas should avoid driving or walking through flood waters.

NWS also reported that street flooding has occurred across parts of the southern Kansas City metro area.

    2. The flood control project in the 90s had a good start. They were going to make it like the river walk in San Antonio. All the money ran out 3/4ths of the way through.

  2. Wish BLM had planned another riot (mostly peaceful protest) down by Flush Creek this evening. It is a shame to waste flood waters that would sweep idiots away.

  3. Aww really sorry you missed your corona party, T. Because many people die from COVID-19 T, and thanks to the utterly irresponsible way you've treated this pandemic, it would be ironic if you got it and died.

    Not ironic...what's the word?

    Funny. Yeah.

  4. Floods are racist and part of white power structures. Floods know people of color did not always have access to learn how to swim. I say we come together and cancel floods .

  5. George Soros has valves in water drain pipes and he manipulates them to flood the Kansas City area. HE ALONE was responsible for the Plaza flood. He has it in for the Kansas City area and has spent billions of his own cash to ruin our area. Even though he is 89 and will die in the next year of two, all he dwells on is Kansas City. And Trump. Its all true - a guy told me so.

    2. Read up on how he crashed the British Sterling pound. Basically he funds the Left to destabilize a national currency and economy, and bets against the currency when it crashes.

  6. TOP PHOTO -- THE G.O. BOND BRIDGE

That $800M G.O. Bond package that was approved over 3 years ago, when Schulte and James lied about the tax increase details, was actually just to insure that KCMO remained solvent until they were long gone from the scene!!!

This flooding is Trump's fault. Had he not deregulated regulations, we would have had regulations that would have regulated the irregular flooding.

  12. If you think the streets in KCMO are under water, just wait until the actual financial condition of the city becomes known.
Smiley selfies Lucas won't be taking any calls from the national media to try to tout his "leadership" to the world.
And basic services like street maintenance, police, and trash pickup will take the hits from the layoffs.
On the upside for the "activists", even more "reasons" for protests!
