KANSAS CITY CRIME SCENE: FEWER MURDERS SO FAR THIS WEEK!!! OPERATION LEGEND WORKING DESPITE PROTESTS?!?

Blame it on the rain or a massive outpouring of federal law enforcement resources . . . But tonight we ask:

GIVEN FEWER MURDERS THIS WEEK COMPARED THE START OF SUMMER, WE'RE FORCED TO ASK: IS OPERATION LEGEND WORKING DESPITE PROTEST OUTRAGE?!?

It's too early to tell and we'll have to wait until this weekend to compile definitive data . . . But this Summer started with a spate of killings from week to week and so far the past few days have been quiet in terms of killings. Whilst skeptics might attribute it to the weather or discount the preliminary look at murder numbers . . . What's not up for debate is that EVERYONE should hope for fewer KCMO homicides regardeless of political perspective.

Accordingly, tonight we check headlines regarding Operation Legend and other news related to crime, police action and community hope to curb violence . . .

What's the number of actual shootings vs. previous weeks? Most of the time we don't even hear about them unless someone actually dies. It would be a better indication of whether or not Operation Legend is working or not.

  5. This just in!
The feds, unlike the cowardly local electeds that constitute what passes for local government in KCMO, don't give a hoot about "the protesters".
And the results of arrests, illegal guns taken off the streets, and gang drug busts have been encouraging so far.
    Just like the reduced homicides.
This is just showing that homicides CAN be addressed if authorities actually define the problem and attack it.
    It's not "gun violence".
    Or a "public health issue".
Or some other version of "I'm depraved 'cause I'm deprived".
It's a minority of a minority population that's responsible for 90%+ of the chaos and carnage.
Protesting help making this progress simply shows what they're really all about.
