Here's the fanboy argument aimed at deflecting criticism of society's misplaced priorities . . .
Patrick Mahomes hopes to make positive impact in KC community and beyond with new deal
TKC Reader rebuttal:
KCMO taxpayers are taxed four times for stadiums.
- Kansas City contributes $2 million from general fund
- Jackson County contributes $3 million from property tax
- Missouri contributes $5 million
- Jackson County passed a sales tax to rebuild stadiums not so long ago and this generates about $30 million per year . . .
You decide . . .
Pay for your own fucking stadiums you fucking sports teams. YOU people are the millionaires.
ReplyDelete^^^^^That's why they are 8:51, they never spend their money.
ReplyDeleteI wish I lived closer to Kansas City so I could meet Mahomes.
ReplyDelete^^I'm pretty sure that he doesn't do losers.
ReplyDeleteThe fools who celebrate this guy as they try to ignore their eviction notices are whats funny.
ReplyDeleteSad world when sports teams make millions while states and cities are going bankrupt and police forces are taking discussing having to take pay cuts. Makes me sick to my stomach. As long as people are willing to pay ungodly prices to watch them nothing will change.
ReplyDelete^^and yet I celebrate him and own two homes outright. Weird.
ReplyDelete^ Owning two rusty trailers worth $5,000 is nothing to brag about.
ReplyDeleteHow come you people aren't pissed off about the University of Missouri spending $80 million of TAXPAYER DOLLARS to build a new football stadium? Why are you not demanding that all MU alum who work for MoDOT be FIRED AND DISBARRED?
ReplyDelete^^because we matter and live in the real world. You don't. That's why.
ReplyDelete11:26 is Joseph.
ReplyDeleteHey now, the city gets 7 million back in sales taxes so....
ReplyDeleteAt least that’s what the red star said years ago when funkytown was mayor
ReplyDeleteHow much is Hunt charging for a beer nowadays?
ReplyDelete11:26 Universities are different in that they don't pay their moronic athletes. Even if you are dumber than a box of rocks, you can still get into a university on a 'sports scholarship.'. Yes, sports stadiums in Universities should be paid for by the university itself. Better yet, get rid of all college sports because universities should be used for academia, not for entertainment. You should only be able to get in based on merits and not how far you can throw a ball.
ReplyDeleteMisplaced priorities? $500 million is too low. The net gain from great sports teams and legendary athletes for their respective areas is infinity. Only accountant and/or communist and/or midwit (one in the same?) energy thinks this is a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteI did not make the comment at 9:44.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea why this asshole thinks I want to meet Mahomes.
Maybe, he's just projecting.
^^^^Byron stop lying, we all know you did.
ReplyDeleteYou're trying to take away my freedom of speech.
ReplyDeleteThat's what hate speech does.
