  5. Watch - the Mayor and Council's next move will be to declare that the "18th & Vine District" is really in Clay County, so they can dump the remaining $9 Million of the CARES money there.

  6. As upside down as KCMO's financial condition is, all the money the feds could pour into it wouldn't begin to fill the hole.
    And the council and smiley selfies Lucas just keep digging, even as the city's condition gets worse.
    They just don't know what else to do.
    Bankruptcy happens very slowly.
    Then very very quickly.
    KCMO is a sucking chest wound on the entire region.
    West of the state line never looked more inviting.
