The problem now, though, is the quantity of both of those items might be in jeopardy.
"A lot of the processing plants are running at under 50% of the capacity," a local BBQ owner said.
That is due to COVID-19 and the potential spread of it with workers in those plants.
"Some of them have shut down completely," he said.
Fact is, there hasn't ever been a local restaurant that ever made any real money selling broccoli.
And so this crisis seems to be hitting the workforce harder than households wanting a few pieces of chicken every week. Either way, locals without beef are bound to express their discontent loudly.
OR, to be fair, this might be just like the ventilator shortage that remains hotly debated.
On the other hand . . . There still isn't much of a selection of toilet paper . . . Which is essential for both veggies and carnivores alike . . .

They got behind because of some issues with the virus but being short of meat and getting behind are two different things. They caused people to have a run on meat. The radical left loves to stir up crap it's what they live for and also to control and scare people.
