Jackson County Starts Reopen Phase 2

Quick update on the continued effort to offer locals a glimpse at the "new normal" wherein locals must still substitute trips to the grocery store for any kind of live entertainment . . . On the bright side, turns out Hyvee is much more captivating than most local live events.

Jackson County, Missouri officials have released details on phases 2 and 3 of the county coronavirus recovery plan.Phase 2 is scheduled to start June 1, assuming no significant virus progression in the community.Plan details outline changes to capacity limits for area businesses and gatherings and list additional spaces that may open for business or usage.Under phase 2, the maximum gathering numbers shift from 10 people to 50 people, and restaurants, bars, places of worship, gyms, salons, and community centers may increase business to 50% capacity as long as safe social distancing can be maintained.

  1. This makes sense. The KC area had its highest increase in new cases the last two weeks, so, sure, let's relax restrictions even more.
