Parson: Most COVID-19 reports from outside Missouri are 'inaccurate'
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Missouri Gov. Mike Parson said he does not put "much stock" in reports from outside the state, including one that indicated Kansas City is on a list of "locations to watch" as hot spots for the novel coronavirus.
He can lie to get the economy going, but when the tolls of illness and death get high enough he won't be able to hide it.

It should be that within a few weeks of confirming a new infection, anyone who has not died has recovered but that is not how Kansas City records it. All cases are simply shown as infected forever so that it looks like the number of active cases is always increasing, and never holding steady or decreasing.
