White House Taps Sen. Hawley to Join Task Force on Reopening Economy | National Review
The White House has invited Senator Josh Hawley (R., Mo.) to join its task force on reopening the U.S. economy, following Hawley's proposal that the federal government pay 80 percent of workers' wages until the coronavirus crisis subsides.
The government paying people not to work? Doesn't that sound a bit, well, SOCIALIST? Are we starting down the slippery slope to Soviet style COMMUNISM?????
ReplyDelete"...paying people not to work" (?)
DeleteThey're not being paid. It's called a social safety net. I wouldn't expect a Rethuglican to understand.
^^^Chud. We've always been a socialist country for the wealthy. Grow up!
ReplyDeleteActually my comment at 7:12 was tongue-in-cheek. I agree with you, but have you ever noticed on this blog how everyone blows a gasket when government at any level tries to do anything for the poor? The response to the city's making buses free is a prime example. I just can't resist tweaking the right-wing freaks.
DeleteOld news - there is no task force on reopening the economy.
ReplyDeleteHell, there's barely even an Economy to reopen!
