Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Earns Another Million Bucks For Centennial

Actually, a relief for taxpayers and the only bit of hope in the otherwise money losing 18th & Vine District . . .

Lindsay Shively tweets: "MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred just announced additional million dollars to go to Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, joint gift from MLB & MLB Players Association... and on June 27th all MLB players will wear commemorative Negro Leagues patch..."

Backstory:

Negro Leagues created in Kansas City 100 years ago today

On February 13, 1920, Hall of Famer Andrew "Rube" Foster and his fellow team owners met at what was once the Paseo YMCA at 18th and Vine. Foster showed up with a charter in hand and the rest, as they say, is history.
