ASK TKC: NO, YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T GET WU-TANG PLAGUE FROM THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS SUPER BOWL PARADE!!!

A local question that also serves as an indictment of our public education system and the social media information age . . .

"Hey TKC, noticed that a lot of people are sick after the Chiefs parade. Do you think it's possible that the Chinese virus was spread in the crowd?"

Our answer, with respect to the fact that the Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing Ta F' Wit . . .

NO, YOU DOLT, THE WU-TANG THREAT FOR KANSAS CITY IS THANKFULLY LOW RIGHT NOW!!! BUT STANDING IN THE COLD ALL DAY AROUND A BUNCH OF BOOZING FANBOYS PROVED EFFECTIVE AT SICKENING MANY LOCALS!!!

Reminder:

As the world focuses on coronavirus, a deadly flu has killed at least 10,000 Americans

HOWEVER, that's not a good comparison because the troubles in China could be far more deadly than the American sickness that is mostly cured with chicken noodle soup.

Still . . .

All of this leads us to real world news sources that take reporting of this threat far more seriously than Chiefs fans who are already planning next year's Super Bowl party for survivors . . .

Far East Secret FAIL

China hid the severity of its coronavirus outbreak and muzzled whistleblowers - because it can

Nearly six weeks after China announced the coronavirus outbreak, there's still a surprising amount we don't know about this newly discovered disease. But one thing is becoming clear: China's silence in the earliest days of the crisis may have made it worse.

EPIC Population Scale

Coronavirus may infect over 500K in Wuhan before it peaks, study says

The deadly coronavirus may spread to more than 500,000 people in the Chinese city of Wuhan before the epidemic hits its peak, according to a new study. London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine developed a model that shows one in 20 people in Wuhan, the outbreak's center, will come down with the illness before the spread of the virus starts to slow down, Bloomberg News reported.

4 charts show how SARS hit China's economy nearly 20 years ago

The new coronavirus - believed to have first appeared in the Chinese city of Wuhan - is often compared to SARS, which originated in China's Guangdong province in November 2002 before spreading globally. The two diseases come from the same large family of viruses that usually infect animals but can sometimes evolve and spread to humans.

  6. What is surprising is that this virus hasn’t killed millions yet, given the compacted population of chinas cities and the filthy conditions that large populations create
If you e ever been to any Asian country, you will be stunned at the living conditions no American would tolerate

  11. Its only killing 1 to 2% of total infected. Problem is if everyone worldwide gets it. Then 1 or 2 out of every 100 employees, politicians, actors, sport stars, musicians and of course ordinary people will die. Its a serious issue IF it spreads. China would rather save "China" than its individual citizens. Mao started that trend. So they let it run for a while, not caring. Now it too late. China will crash and burn for sure.
