PROGRESSIVES DOUBLE DARE KANSAS GOP TO RUN KRIS KOBACH FOR SENATE!!!

Check this delightfully snarky screed that realizes opposition from across the nation would rise up against this alt-right dude. Meanwhile, the Kansas establishment GOP seems to be looking for a candidate with equally strident views and better branding. Read more:

If Kris Kobach Wants To Lose Another Seat For The GOP, Who Are We To Argue?

It's just possible that the national GOP hates Kris Kobach more than Kris Kobach hates immigrants. Which is high bar to clear! From the moment he declared for the Kansas's US Senate race by misspelling his own name on the registration form, the National Republican Senate Committee accused him of "simultaneously put[ting] President Trump's presidency and Senate Majority at risk."

  3. Where did you register, @6:25?
Kansas has no venue for voter registration by Party.
You just register as a "voter".
    Does that register with you?

  4. Are you sure? I think you may be confusing Kansas with Missouri.

  5. I'm a MO registered Republican and think "is this the best you can offer"? Kobach isn't a serious or strong candidate. Watkins is also a complete d-bag embarrassment.

  6. Be careful what you ask for.

In 2014, Kobach got 60% of the vote statewide, more votes than any other candidate on the ballot. He was elected statewide twice.

He has won big before and can win again. We are talking about a senate seat that has gone Republican since 1932. If Kobach wins the primary (and the GOP establishment doesn't wrongly smear him during the race), he is the favorite to win the seat.

  7. @8:51, you are correct, I just checked online, Kansas Voter Registration does in fact have a series of check boxes that allow one to register as a Democrat/Republican/Librarian/ No Party Affiliation.

@9:31, @8:51 is correct about Missouri as well, Missouri DOES NOT have any way to register to vote as a "Party Affiliated" voter.

  8. @2:39, I'm surprised that you didn't mention Kobach's "landslide" win over Colyer by 343 votes, after his ally in Johnson County threw out 800+ ballots.

And has Kris ever run in a campaign without being fined for campaign finance violations? Maybe for the OP City Council last century, but its been pretty damned regular since then.

  9. ^^^ and yet he still beat Colyer.

Any win, regardless of margin, over a sitting governor is actually very impressive.
