Postscript on one of many massive dumps taken on this town . . . Checkit:

Man charged with illegally dumping nearly 2,000 tires

Kalie StrainEditorial AssistantNortheast News Ronald Smith, 52, pled guilty to charges of illegal dumping and has received a sentence of 10 days in jail, two years of probation, a $1,000 fine and 50 hours of community service. Smith had been accused of dumping upwards of 2,000 tires along an abandoned street on 14 th and Kensington.

  1. It’s gonna cost the city $5:00 a tire, that’s $10,000 worth of tires he dumped, to get rid of these tires and he gets 10 days in jail, 50 hours of community service and a thousand dollar fine the city will probably nevar see..... makes perfect sense doesn’t it.

  2. 52 years old and dumping...this kind of crime is usually young people. He couldnt pay to dispose of these properly? And just where do you get 2,000 tires in the first place?

  3. I really resent that he doesn't even have to do the 10 days. Obviously, someone paid him to do that multiple times. They should have been charged too. Illegal dumpers are pieces of shit !
