Rock Chalk Kander Collabo Coming Soon

Credit where it's due, here's Kansas City's most celebrated political hero helping with another great cause and putting his social media and political popularity to good use.

Take a look and the good deeds underway:

Collaboration for a Cause

Join us for an evening of celebration highlighting the incredible alliance between Children’s Mercy, the University of Kansas Medical Center, and The University of Kansas Health System. Together, these organizations work to address the developmental, psychiatric, psychological and family therapy needs of children of all ages.

On Tuesday, October 15th at 5:30 pm, Brian Hanni, the Voice of the Jayhawks, will be the Master of Ceremonies at our inaugural fundraising event to support these partnerships.

Jason Kander will be a key-note speaker, sharing his personal struggle with PTSD.

Our goal for this lively evening is to raise awareness and critical dollars for Children’s Mercy that enable us to better understand teenage anxiety, depression and suicide.

  1. RE: "Jason Kander will be a key-note speaker, sharing his personal struggle with PTSD."

    There it is again!

Kander fully embraces PTSD, but apparently has told his liberal media lackeys never to mention his lifelong battle with DEPRESSION. PTSD is "cool and trendy", while depression remains stigmatized.

When someone dropped out of the Mayor's race, admitting that they contemplated suicide multiple times, that's CLINICAL DEPRESSION. Many more Americans struggle with depression than PTSD, so why not help the bigger group?

The prevalence of a major depressive episode among U.S. adults aged 18 or older in 2017:
An estimated 17.3 million adults in the United States had at least one major depressive episode. This number represented 7.1% of all U.S. adults. (NIMH)

An estimated 3.6% of U.S. adults had PTSD in the past year.

Jason: If you could write your blood type on your boots, why can't you talk openly about your treatment for depression?

  3. Does Kander think he is going to make a major political comeback? He is never going to get elected to any high political office. The county will never accept a depressive suicidal President.

  4. "celebrated political hero"

Uh....so far he is only celebrated for not running. Weird.

  5. So much for Pander's hertfelt commitment to the veterans' Little House program.
A couple PR visits from some "presidential" candidates, neither of who have a chance of being elected, and the usual local TV coverage, and some puff pieces in the Star, and riding that horse has already been forgotten.
    So from:
    Senate candidate, to
    Voting rights nonprofit, to
    Presidential candidate, to
    Mayoral candidate, to
    PTSD patient, to
    Veterans project frontman, to
Whatever comes along that can be used and taken advantage of to continue to pursue his only true cause:
    HIMSELF.
    Please go away.
