Gov. Mike Parson says violent crime a 'crisis' in Missouri
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Missouri's governor says the state is in a "crisis" with violent crime. Republican Gov. Mike Parson on Tuesday met with Mayor Lyda Krewson and about a dozen other St. Louis-area leaders to address violence in the city. The officials didn't release any new plan but Parson says one will be announced soon.
No shit Sheriff. Your business is killing and business is good!
ReplyDeleteViolence isn't a problem in Missouri.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't even a problem in KCMO or St Louis.
It's a horrendous problem in particular easily-defined parts of both those cities.
But until those facts and the data-driven analysis of who the victims and perpetrators are are understood and accepted and anti-crime efforts are made taking those facts into account, nothing but endless talking, excuses, and blame will continue.
Willful ignorance.
It's a shame the regular folks in those neighborhoods who are just trying to earn a living and raise their families without being surrounded by carnage and destruction can't depend on local officials to assume the most basic of their responsibilities:
Public Safety.
