Kansas City Bike/Walk Ruckus Tonight

Quick fun fact about the GOLD STANDARD of KC discourse tonight . . .

KANSAS CITY BIKE/WALK LEADER ERIC ROGERS REFUSED TO ANSWER A DIRECT QUESTION ASKING FOR AN ESTIMATE OF HOW MANY CYCLISTS PEDAL THEIR WAY TO WORK IN THIS COWTOWN!!!

He didn't even bother to ball park it . . . Instead, the politico offered nothing more than a bad joke about math.

And so this local conversation starts with very little insight about the ongoing war for KCMO streets and public funding . . . Take a look:

"Mike Shanin talks to Eric Rogers, Executive Director of BikeWalkKC, about KCMO Master Bike Plan misconceptions. Ron Freeman, Alana Roethle, Theresa Garza and Arthur Benson discuss recent issues for Clay County and Jackson County government, the Kansas GOP decision not to have a caucus in advance of the 2020 presidential election and how Democratic candidates addressed gun control in recent debate."

Take a look:

  2. Pay close attention to Benson, he sound like he's getting ready to sue and make an injunction against this Jackson County property tax mess. Best quote of the night.

  3. No way is Eric going to be caught telling the truth. It's all a scam.

  5. In a city with a population of 460,000+ people, how in the world can someone who is so irresponsible and clueless that they actually propose to spend $350 million on a bike plan be one of just 13 people to be elected to KCMO government?
The KCMO general fund is little more than a huge slush fund for every special interest and "activist" who comes along dialing for dollars.
    Dig deep, KCMO taxpayers.
You've created yet another black hole.

  6. Did anyone find it ODD that Eric Rogers stressed TWICE that his group was active in elementary schools?

  7. Benson did a good job destroying KCMO's educational system.

  8. Yeah, the $400 mill is over a 10 year period.
Wait until I take up the entire lane at 10 mph with a string of cars behind me. You’ll be loving the idea of a bike lane.
