Rep. Sharice Davids Hosts A Heated Discussion About Guns And Public Health In Overland Park

U.S. Rep. Sharice Davids, a Democrat representing Kansas's 3rd District, and other state lawmakers said that they support the Second Amendment but called gun violence a public health crisis at a public event on Saturday.

  1. The only misuse of guns in Sherice's district is almost always the result of section 8 outsiders. Good citizens need to be armed against the diversity being forced on them.

  2. Hitler supported gun control. A simple rule...no guns for the average person. Imagine if every Jew had a gun, even a small handgun. How many Nazi soldiers could they have taken out? Maybe 3 or 4 million...it would have shortened the war considerably. NEVER AGAIN!

  3. That gun hating Shawnee Mission Post made this event sound like it was all just those wanting guns rights removed and not any pro gun people there. If someone is set on killing themselves it will take place using a gun or not. Cathy Porter-Washington needs to address the crime issue not the gun issue if that stupid cow thinks those thugs of hers will all of a sudden stop doing crime if the people who have legal rights to own a gun have that taken away she is not only obese she is stupid as well.

But all that Davids did here is yak and yak some more about crap that has been talked about time and time again. When are the idiots like her and that other fat cow going to understand there are plenty of laws on the books but nobody is really enforcing them.

The public health crisis at hand is the complete lack of dealing with those who use guns in committing a crime getting put of jail and conditions at the jail such a joke these thugs laugh at doing a few years for getting caught.

The real gun issue might go away if you were to one bring back executions and hand out life sentences again like they use to be.

  5. Guns don't kill people, bullets do. Charge the police $500 a bullet and maybe cops won't pump 40 rounds in a car from three directions. And I support 2nd Amendment.

    1. Hey Charlie you stupid fuck rag, if you stop committing crimes and resisting arrest, the police will stop beating your ass.

  6. We need more citizens armed and ready to fight for law and order. To be ready to shoot criminal hood rats when the legal opportunity arises. That way our liberal faggot judges can’t give probation when a prison sentence is appropriate.

  8. Thank God that the Government is going to take guns away from white people.

  9. Once again the fact remains if you write laws to take guns away from freedom loving honest Americans then only the dishonest law hating criminals will have guns. The problem is not solved it is only made worse.

  10. Something that more people should know about - but few do: "It is, therefore, a fact of law and of practical necessity that individuals are responsible for their own personal safety, and that of their loved ones. Police protection must be recognized for what it is: only an auxiliary general deterrent.

Because the police have no general duty to protect individuals, judicial remedies are not available for their failure to protect. In other words, if someone is injured because they expected but did not receive police protection, they cannot recover damages by suing (except in very special cases, explained below). Despite a long history of such failed attempts, however, many, people persist in believing the police are obligated to protect them, attempt to recover when no protection was forthcoming, and are emotionally demoralized when the recovery fails. Legal annals abound with such cases.

Warren v. District of Columbia is one of the leading cases of this type. Two women were upstairs in a townhouse when they heard their roommate, a third woman, being attacked downstairs by intruders. They phoned the police several times and were assured that officers were on the way. After about 30 minutes, when their roommate's screams had stopped, they assumed the police had finally arrived. When the two women went downstairs they saw that in fact the police never came, but the intruders were still there. As the Warren court graphically states in the opinion: "For the next fourteen hours the women were held captive, raped, robbed, beaten, forced to commit sexual acts upon each other, and made to submit to the sexual demands of their attackers."

The three women sued the District of Columbia for failing to protect them, but D.C.'s highest court exonerated the District and its police, saying that it is a "fundamental principle of American law that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any individual citizen." https://www.firearmsandliberty.com/kasler-protection.html

Police can decide to not show up, they can run away and hide, and they can neither be sued nor arrested nor fired for doing so - they have no legally enforceable duty to protect any citizen or group of citizens.

  11. Oh man Sharice is really stupid. The only reason she got elected is because Kobach is even more stupid than she is. What's with Kansas?

    ReplyDelete
  12. And yet she ran against Yoder, not Kobach. And won. By a lot. And you can't get over it. Weird.

    ReplyDelete
  13. She won because Yoder was heavily associated with Kobach and is a member of the same party. Try keeping up. Don't worry she won't be elected again. She's clueless and everyone is starting to see it.
