"national shortage" of paramedics? That's a myth. There's no shortage of medics. There's a shortage of people who want to work their ass off to make less money than the guys who work on fire trucks and get paid more.
ReplyDeleteEvery place I've seen crying about a "national shortage" is paying far less than they should. The reality is that the average starting wage for most places is $60k/yr for medics. The places paying in the 30s are always crying they don't have enough people. Gee, I wonder why?

Laughed out loud at the Lee's Summit police locker room piece on TV - all of the lockers have Master Locks. Why would that be needed unless the police are stealing from the police, right?
ReplyDeleteLS police department wants all of this equipment, newest toys, etc but they seldom solve ACTUAL crime like car theft, rape, or even murder. They are damn good at giving tickets though.
