KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Nestle notified the state of Kansas earlier this month it plans to lay off up to 85 employees at its facility in Kansas City, Kansas' Fairfax Industrial District. The global food and distribution company notified the Kansas Department of Commerce of its intentions on Aug. 16.

Hallmark parking garage damaged in dumpster truck crash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - No one was injured in a crash involving a dumpster truck Thursday morning. It happened just before 4 a.m. near East 27th Street and McGee Trafficway in Kanas City, Missouri. Police said the driver of the dumpster truck was not inside when it began to move and rolled into the Hallmark employee parking garage.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Popeyes Chicken has a new chicken sandwich on the menu, and it's gone viral. "The other Popeyes ran out of their sandwiches," Popeyes employee Shelia Pearson said. "We started this on Monday, and we've already sold 300 today." Popeyes employees told FOX4 that they sell at least 500 of these chicken sandwiches a day.

There is a 20 percent chance for an evening shower or thunderstorm. Toward morning there is a 40 percent chance for rain and storms. The morning starts at 66 degrees with afternoon temps climbing to near 80 degrees. There are more chances of rain and storms over the weekend, but they won't last long or be too widespread.
