A New Affordable Housing Complex Will Help Families Escaping Domestic Violence In Kansas City

Addressing Kansas City's shortage of affordable housing options was a main tenet of Kansas City, Missouri, Mayor Quinton Lucas' campaign. On Monday, Lucas is set to announce a new affordable housing project geared specifically toward families who have survived domestic violence. Community nonprofit Linwood Property Inc.

Hopefully, Q's term won't be just a "rinse, repeat" and taxpayers still getting "soaked". Maybe, Q can "Mister Clean" the murder and debt momentums "machine"!!!

  7. There is plenty of affordable housing in KCMO. It is affordable but no one wants to live there because the city will not protect it's citizens from the rampant crime in those areas. It's a viscous circle, the houses are worth less because of crime making it uneconomical to maintain and repair, resulting in ever increasing blight.

    Instead of doing the hard work of providing safe neighborhoods KCMO has decided that blacks should be forced to Raytown and Grandview.

    Not weird, just sad.
