More destructive than transformative . . . Here's a peek at the cyclist plan to make life even harder for drivers in the very near future. Read more:
Replacing the Buck O'Neil Bridge is a chance to reconnect neighborhoods
Local and state government officials are proposing three options for replacing the Buck O'Neil Bridge over the Missouri River in Downtown, along with an option to not build at all.
Bike/Walk KC identifies "Re-use this land for development, expanding the City’s tax base" as one of the benefits of the beyond the loop pie in the sky proposal. What a crock.
ReplyDeleteEvidently Bike/Walk KC fails to recognize KCMO's mode of operation is to funnel boatloads of money into developers back pockets and tax breaks for decades. Consequently there will be no to very little tax benefit to KCMO for decades to come. Sadly the Bike/Walk KC councilman apparently does not realize this.
Bike/Walk makes more noise than the selfish Fag coalition. At least you can be a fag 12 months a year.
ReplyDeleteA better Civic Improvement would be to ban any bicycle riding by any person over the age of sixteen within the City Limits.
ReplyDeleteArrogant, and dangerous, cyclists should be banned.
ReplyDeleteThese bike nazis think the world revolves around them and their lattes. Their hatred for the car grows everyday to a level on par with domestic terrorism. Until good jobs, affordable housing and less expensive consumer options are centralized downtown, residents will not give up their cars.
ReplyDeleteEric is a fucking retard
ReplyDeleteDo you think the city market wants easier access for the hookers and low lifes that live on Independence Ave?
Reconnect? There is an F-ing sidewalk AND STREETCAR. People can connect all they want. The problem is KC is a bunch of fatties and there is a hill to walk up on a hot day.
Lower Rt 9. Why...to kill the hookers that you are inviting in by hooking up Independence Ave?
What Eric and all the other card carrying urban planners and urban planner wannabees miss is that their inputs to this stuff kills it. Sometimes literally. Look what happened when the urban planners got ahold of first fridays. People died. Plaza. People shot all the time. 18th and Vine. People die.
GTFO you stupid libs.
^^ugh. Go away pops. Say in Frogville. You haven't been anywhere in decades! No Matlock for you.
ReplyDeleteChimpy! We talked about this. The zookeeper was supposed to teach you some new words!
Delete"Progressives" are drooling at the mouth at another chance to loot the general public and rob taxpayers of their life savings.
ReplyDelete^^You mean like thee current Conservatives are doing????
ReplyDelete^^^ So called "progressives" are worse then conservatives. Progressives just rob you with a smile and leave you dangling in the wind then go off on their Instagram travels and spandex shopping trips. Conservatives at least let you know your going to need to start adding some notches to your belt whether you like it or not.
ReplyDelete^^ugh huh. Did they say that on Faux News? Conservatives bust deficits, start wars, and run the economy into recessions. Learn to think for yourself. Quit willingly eating the shit Faux News shoves down your throat.
ReplyDeleteTrump 2020
Delete@ 9:25 you willingly take it down the throat and up your arse
ReplyDeletethere are so many ridculous entrance s and exits to the loop, and they all fucked up. To exit you have to merge into the same lane folks are entering. They can take out many of the fucking entrances and exits. Maybe the highway signs should clarify if you want to take the I-35 around the North side of the loop or the south side of the loop, or maybe it just should be on one side of the fucking loop. The downtown loop is a piece of shit.
ReplyDeletethe downtown loop being a piece of shit has nothing to do with bikes and everything to do with traffic flow.
ReplyDeleteThe north loop is redundant. All interstate routes and 169 can be rerouted on the other three legs. And the mess that is the I-70/Broadway interchange needs to be eliminated. And yes it would open up land to development. And says long term maintenance costs by eliminating that stretch highway....I ask, what are the negatives?
ReplyDeletethe options for the bridge were intense! How long did it take to compile those intricacies!
ReplyDeletehow the hell does the all I-35, loop squeeze into, merge, cross I-70 on the south side, wonder if some poor mother fucker is going to try to draw something that makes sense. haven't seen anyone try so far.
ReplyDeleteThe highway is a fucking mess. Reconnect neighborhoods. Bikewalk KC aren't the only ones for this.
