Mainstream media tells us that "the Amazon is often referred to as the planet's lungs, producing 20% of the oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere." Nevertheless, it's hard to make the topic local.
Luckily, KC Citizen media sent a relevant note our way in order to at least mention the International devistation from a local perspective . . . Here's the word:
"Agribusiness is one of the biggest political players in Kansas City . . . We must look at the role of these International companies in causing one of the worst environmental disasters in global history. A disaster that many believe could speed up planetary extinction."

ReplyDelete^^^ Don't confuse us with facts.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the earrh is fine. Its people who are screwed. Take shallow breaths because it'll be a few hundred years before O2 levels are the same.
ReplyDelete^^^^ what he said! Lol!
ReplyDeleteMore hysterical fake news. The number and extent of the fires in Brazil this year is not unusual. In fact, the burning is slightly below the average. But the moderate weather of 2019 has led the propagandists to search for new events to keep the public in a state of fear for their political purposes.

^^^^^ Russian fake. Keep eating, we'll be fine.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I had thought Russia-obsessed loonies to be extinct in the wild.
DeleteNot much to do about it here in KC. I think the taking shallow breath suggestion is the best idea I've heard so far.
ReplyDeleteCNN is correct with the claim the Amazon is burning because people eat meat. The internal poll CNN took which shows 1 of 3 CNN viewers is just as stupid as the other 2 is also correct.
ReplyDeleteAh, no biggie! Brasil is "smoke" all the time! Hey, the night-time Rio beaches of Erva, oops, I mean, Ipanema gives a contact buzz like none other.
ReplyDeleteBy a large margin, what's on fire is not first growth jungle, but lands that have already been cleared for pasture and agriculture. Just like the American Indians used to do, the controlled burning revitalizes the soil, gets rid of unwanted vegetation and insects and creates room for new growth. But it's fun watching all the propaganda sited hyperventilate on cue.
ReplyDeleteI asked my lady to deforest, like a Brazilian.
