A good cause for this local celebrity who has scaled down his ambitions but still found a great way to work with a community of locals who desperately need the help of his fame and nearly boundless energy. Jut a bit of good news for Monday . . . Checkit:
Jason Kander joins group behind KC's tiny house village for veterans
KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - A local hero is stepping back into the spotlight, joining an organization to make sure no veteran comes home to live on the streets. Former Missouri Secretary of State and Kansas City mayoral candidate Jason Kander has joined the non-profit Veterans Community Project.
Good for him!
ReplyDeleteThere are tens of thousands of good people volunteering, donating time to charities and they don't feel the need to advertise it. But then most have no intention of running for office.
ReplyDelete^^^^ Excellent point.
ReplyDeleteFrom The Jewish Talmud: Baba Kamma 113a -A Jew may use lies ("subterfuges") to circumvent a gentile.
ReplyDeleteThe tiny houses already built were assessed at $390K.
ReplyDeleteJust kidding but maybe we need to drain the swamp at the assessment department first.
Has Jason Pander EVER done anything at all without pushing himself into the front of the effort to desperately try to enhance his over-developed sense of self importance?
ReplyDeleteAnything at all?
Now this outstanding project that so many others have worked so hard to stand up and mostly emphasizing publicity for the program, not themselves, has been hijacked by Pander for his own selfish dreams.
Most military guys who behave this way end up having to watch their backs in combat.
Fortunately for Pander, he was safely positioned behind a desk during his mythical tour in Afghanistan.
Media whore on steroids.
Glad those homeleas veterans could help out the guy with getting his political career back on track.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, @ 4:51 - you seem not to approve of Kander.
ReplyDeleteWhat was your MOS?
When did you get in Country?
Where was "Fort Apache"?
OMG Kander has a job!!! Wow! #adulting
ReplyDeleteWith Jackson County tax assesments this year, I think a ton of people will be interested in living in "TINY" homes, and not just homeless Vets! since property taxes are based and valued off of square footage.
ReplyDeleteFake soldier elbows to the front of the charity credit line. Maybe his Russkie wife can do a TED Talk on how narcissism can cure fake PTSD.
ReplyDelete3:44 and 4:51 comments NAILED it!!
ReplyDeleteBoth Panders are severely narcissistic marketing hucksters.
Who wants to bet how long it will be before he debuts his next book "Outside The Tiny House Wire"?
"Battling life-long depression and paperwork shell-shock induced PTSD, Jason Pander heroically lost a U.S. Senate race, unexpectedly dropped from the KCMO Mayoral primary before scandalous personal details were released, and then rescued a veterans project while assembling a rifle blindfolded!"

Good to see conservatives taking a break from hating brown people on this thread to point out how much they hate vets.
