If this was Westport or The Plaza and so many people were shot & killed over a year's time, the community would be up in arms and calling for intervention from City Hall.

Nevertheless, City Hall has racked up more than $100-million worth of debt financing this party district and many neighborhood residents feel like a solution to the recent spate of should come from 12th & Oak.

Fox4KC: Third homicide in past year at 18th and Vine district has some calling for more security

Deets:

The latest killing is the third homicide in the 18th and Vine Historic Jazz District in the past year. At least 10 people have been shot in four separate incidents.

The latest happened in a parking lot behind the Lincoln Building at 1805 Vine. It's right up the street from the American Jazz Museum and Blue Room and a little down Vine from a nearby daiquiri bar.

  2. "Now a hot spot?" You mean has been for years. Drive four blocks south of there and see how bad it is. Of course the ghetto is going to spill over to there. The only reason it is relevant is because our black elected "leaders" keep money funneled there that they skim from by playing the race card. If white taxpayers dare question how sound it is to continue to fund something that can't survive on its own volition they'll be labeled by the woke crowd as racist.

  3. 18th and vine, mlk blvd, prospect, Brooklyn and on and on, the entire metro is now murder central hell, no place is safe when there are blacks around. I’m surprised the tranny that got killed didn’t get more coverage, must’ve been a white or Mexican because if it was a black well, shit would hit the van for sure. When will the blacks get “woke” to their murderous ways? Is that even possible?
