KCMO Runs On Bad City Hall Data

It's kinda dry but still worth a peek: "A report from the Kansas City Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) found that each dollar of development incentive, called tax increment financing, or TIF, generated $3.83 in new tax revenue. 5. Local government has no problem whatsoever about lying to its citizens in order to take money from them. Cooked statistics and biased studies are just two tools among many others to accomplish that purpose. If a non public enterprise did the same things as our government, it would be shut down and its principals perp walked to jail.
