KANSAS CITY CRIME FIGHT FAIL 2019!?!

There's hope more money and new political leadership will inspire change. So far that's not working given that higher homicide rate this year and rising violent crime throughout the metro. Read more:

Activists disheartened by high crime rate

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City, Missouri's homicide rate is the second highest it's been in the past five years. KCPD is investigating its 65th homicide, and the high numbers are alarming those trying to prevent crime from happening in the community. Anti-violence advocates are trying to figure out how to reverse the trend.

  2. Maybe if KCMO had way more cops and WAY fewer "activists" and expensive worthless "anti-crime" fake nonprofits like Aim4Peace, ad Hoc, Mothers in Charge, and all the rest of the hangers-on, the rates of violence and murders could be reduced.
Not likely to happen, though, with the new "leadership" as gutless as the old.
If KCMO just can't screw up the courage to seriously address the problem (hint: around 90% of the homicides are black-on-black), nothing is going to change.
The city is well on the way for another 140+ murder year.
    Sad.

    1. +1 @9:01pm Black people routinely shoot and killed unarmed Black people. There is a ton of cowardice self-hatred among Blacks. Its a social, cultural and mental health (mainly low self esteem) problem that anti-crime groups cannot address.

  3. Ridiculous programs like NOVA and Aim4Peace don't do anything but hold vigils or hold a bbq on some street corner; police presence and punishment....YES, real punishment from our prosecutor might, just maybe, make an impact, but the bleeding hearts in KCMO just want to blame social justice issues....get a grip, these thugs don't WANT to stop their way of life

We tried to keep convicted felons from having guns, but the NRA's politicians said it violated the Second Amendment.

We tried to keep men accused of domestic violence from having guns, but the NRA's politicians said it violated the Second Amendment.

We tried to keep men on the Terrorist Watch list from having guns, but the NRA'a politicians said it violated the Second Amendment.

We tried to keep people with mental health issues from having guns, & many local sheriffs said they would go to prison rather than do that.

Notice how after every mass shooting the NRA'a politicians say it's not a gun issue it's a mental health issue.

If more guns means less violence then we should be the safest country on the planet, instead 40,000 people a year die from gun violence.

It's hard to stop the violence when we won't do anything about the guns.

  5. If we replaced Jean Petersucker Baker with even an average prosecutor, our violen crime rate would be reduced by a lot. Jean Petersucker Baker is weak and useless as a prosecutor can be.

  7. Yup - give away T-shirts, have a BBQ, and have some speakers make the usual statements about "we must do something about crime"..... Problem, not solved.
