Whilst KCMO drivers must worry about shooters and hobos crossing our fast moving streets; in the Golden Ghetto it's poor design, mobile phone talkers and old school road warriors who endanger lives. Here's the hope that a few signs might keep more locals safe after tragedy. Take a look:

KDOT considers more signage along K-10 after deadly wreck

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas Department of Transportation officials said Wednesday they are exploring whether to add additional signage in a work zone along K-10 Highway. The stretch, west of Interstate 435 from Ridgeview Road to Woodland Road, has been the site of crashes, including a crash Tuesday that killed 19 year-old Dylan Garnett.

I'm betting this [person killed themself because they were texting and not paying attention. I so wish they would ban the fuck out of cell phones in a moving car.

^^^ exactly what I thought. Kid ran right into a semi slowing down in front of him. You don't see that you aren't paying attention. Sounds like he hot the semi at a high rate of speed because that driver was injured.

5:30 he hit the semi very hard and yes speed is a factor I am being told. They will have to get a court order to pull his phone records but general consentient is he wasn't paying any attention to what and where he was going till too late so was probably talking or texting. Such a waste of life.

Phones GPS system could shut them off above a certain speed...
