Or maybe a shortcut for a great many Kansas City residents living in a van down the river. Read more:

Port KC wants to turn land into open trail along riverfront

I'm guessing the hobos who live there will call this the ultimate in gentrification.

Be sure to be armed when using the trail.

Bring a sleeping bag, and some cardboard. The early bird gets the good spots by the fire.

Jack the Ripper also seen leaving the area.

And isn't Jolie Justus supporting a T intersection extension of the TROLLEY there? To benefit a condo developer that is funding her campaign for Mayor?

Oh and I'm sure they will be subsidized "affordable housing"....

KC needs to stop trying to make the river front happen

The Port Authority (Port KC) should be suspended and defunded until Kansas City gets a Port.

There are some dangerous woods and river people around there. Use caution if alone and women should not walk or jog alone there at all. Biking maybe if a strong cyclist armed with bear spray.

Riverfront walking paths are So Hot Right Now. All the planners are chasing this fad. But I think industry and jobs are a worthier thing to chase after or go in debt for. Just one Radish's opinion though...

County parcel viewer says the property is owned by the railroad not the city...
