Park land for sale aims to spur neighborhood collaboration
Kansas City Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners has voted to put 55 acres of park land up for sale. The acres are divided among four parks: the north portion of Lykins Square Park, part of Van Brunt Park, a large portion of Hodge Park, and the entirety of Belvidere Park.
I presume the Board of Parks and Rec are as incompetent as the rest of Kansas City government, especially the lard ass mayor and city council. Why should they be allowed to decide about selling park.
ReplyDeleteCan they sell the parks to anyone? Wonder what the restrictions are that come with the sale.
ReplyDeletelast year they tried to sell 3 parks and we voted it down. Persistent ain't they?
ReplyDeleteLast year the city tore down a parks building, clearned of the entire lot for a developer. 20th and tracy
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Nelson-Atkins wall builder could get some paid work from the Parks Board.
