Real estate agencies say best time to buy is now

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. - If you're looking for a time to buy a house in Kansas City, real estate agencies say that time is now. John Moffitt, a real estate agent and president of John Moffitt and Associates, said that because of current interest rates, the best time to buy is now, rather than waiting another year.

  1. Wrong!! This is a horrible time to buy. Wait for the market to correct and then buy. Many people have paid hugely inflated home prices and are now going to be stuck with overpriced houses.

  2. Of course, realtors are always going to tell you that it's a great time to buy. Translation - it's great for the realtor.

  4. Real estate agencies say that time is now, well of course it is, they make higher commissions with the over inflated market going on right now. But remember, he is a real estate salesman, a person closely related to a used car salesman who will lie to you faster then he would bang your ole lady when your back is turned.

  5. 4:18 I completely agree. I saw people jump on houses that were fixer uppers and paid huge prices and the surrounding homes were going to hurt them when selling. Most of these over priced houses were priced out of the neighborhood. Some have hit the market again and are just sitting there. I look for a lot of foreclosures soon or people stuck that can't sell.
